Loving This Creative Season 🌱💌🎨

Lately, I’ve found myself pausing more often just to smile and say, wow… this season is really sweet.

I am so enjoying the rhythm of our three Pen Pal Clubs right now. There’s something magical about knowing that happy mail is traveling out into the world—little envelopes filled with creativity, encouragement, and a bit of surprise. I cannot wait for everyone to receive their February mail. Truly. February has such a cozy, inspiring energy to it, and I already know these pieces are going to bring smiles (and maybe spark a few creative moments at kitchen tables and desks).

And can we talk about trying new things for a moment?

My first oil painting lesson

Recently, I took my very first oil painting class—and let me tell you… I loved it. Like, full-on heart happy, paint-on-my-hands, lost-track-of-time loved it. There was something so refreshing about being the student instead of the teacher. Asking questions. Learning slowly. Letting myself be a beginner again. It reminded me how important it is to stay curious and open, no matter how long you’ve been creating.

This season feels like a beautiful blend of giving and receiving:

  • Sending art out into the world through the Pen Pal Clubs

  • Receiving inspiration by learning something completely new

  • And soaking up the joy that comes from simply showing up and creating

If you’re reading this and feeling a little nudge to try something new, or to savor what you’re already doing—consider this your sign. Creativity doesn’t have to be big or perfect.

Sometimes it looks like a handwritten note, a painted brushstroke, or just saying yes to being a beginner again.

I’m so grateful to be in this season—with paint, paper, and community—and I can’t wait to keep sharing it with you. I'd love to know what new thing you are trying this year. 💛

Here’s to happy mail, brave beginnings, and letting ourselves enjoy the moment we’re in.
