BMX Bikes 101 - Everything You Need to Know About BMX Riding
Though originally denoting a bicycle intended for BMX racing, the term "BMX bike" is now used as a generic term to encompass race bikes ('class' and 'cruiser') and those used for freestyle disciplines (street, vert, park, flatland), and dedicated dirt jumper bicycles. Frames are made of various types of steel, aluminum, or carbon fiber. Cheaper, low-end bikes are usually made of steel. Higher range freestyle bikes are mostly chromoly, such as lightweight 4130 chromoly, or generation 3 chromoly.[1] BMX race bikes extensively use aluminum or carbon fiber. BMX bikes are smaller in size as compared to other bikes. These bikes come with thick and fat tires to absorb shocks and for better jumping. Generally, Rear brakes are available only in racing BMX.[2]

DK Bicycles offers a standard 12 month warranty against manufactures defects on all steel and chromoly complete bike frames, forks, and handlebars from the original date of purchase. Aluminum complete bike frames carry a six month warranty against manufacturers defects from the original date of purchase. These limited warranties apply to the original owner with proof of purchase (receipt). Frames, forks, and handlebars must not have been altered, painted, or sandblasted. Bending or denting of frames, forks, or handlebars is excluded from this warranty. Bending is a sign of impact, rider abuse, error, or punishment and therefore is not covered under this limited warranty.
DK Bicycles offers a standard 90 day warranty on all complete bike components for defects in workmanship from the original date of purchase, backed by a one-on-one consideration for cases that fall outside of this period. This limited warranty applies to the original owner with proof of purchase (receipt). Normal wear, accident, impact, rider abuse, error, or neglect, improper assembly, and improper maintenance of parts are not covered by this warranty.

This process is done with care, by our experienced professional technicians to ensure that your bike not only lasts, but most importantly is covered by any manufacturer's warranty.
Our certified team of technicians spend the time to fine tune the bike so you don't have to. During this process, our technicians will go through each of the bearing components, ensuring a solid, smooth ride from the first turn of the cranks. From there, the wheels are taken off individually for the truing process. Making sure your wheel is true is key to prolonging the life of your rims, and ultimately your whole bicycle. After this happens, the rear wheel is installed with care to make sure that the chain is tensioned properly and that the free wheel of the bike is in proper working order. The brakes are then adjusted and tested for reliable stopping power. During the assembly the bike goes through a thorough quality control check to ensure your bike is up to our high standards and yours.
For shipping, the handlebars and the front wheel are removed, hand packed, and padded with your bike's frame to ensure the safest possible transport. Since the assembly is performed by hand and per order, it may take 6-8 business days for the assembly of your new bike to be completed and shipped.*Any accessory order with the bicycle such as pedals, computers, fenders or racks will not be installed prior to shipping. Accessories can get damaged in shipping and will need to be installed by the customer when the package has been delivered to its final shipping destination.
